Your link to the DFCB is wrong. I think it should be http://www.ncfs.org/dfcb/about.html

I have the 2gb version of the LiveScribe and love it. I wonder who is going to do the first forensic acquisition of on these pens. The supplied notebooks are also great.

Windows Powershell is a tool that should be in everyone's forensic suite of tools.
Not sure I'd say the same thing about iLook

As always, a very nice podcast. Thank you.
I think some of the anti-Helix comments Drew sees is related to the fact that he provided training of the free version of Helix, during which I witnessed him say there would always be a free version. Now, it seems that isn't true.
I also think it's very cheesy not offering people who paid the substantial training fee free access to the Pro version.
I don't begrudge him the chance to make money from his efforts, that why I took the training. It just seems the customer relations needs some work at e-fense.

The pentrap/trace issue about the trapcall site is not about the caller-id, its them offering subscriber information with their "bear trap" paid service. https://www.trapcall.com/signup
That's the part that seems squirelly to me.
Ovie, i'll be in Greece that week too on my honeymoon. Want to geek out and tick off the new wife?

I don't begrudge e-fense wanting to make some money on their work. What I think made quite a few people upset was their asking for donations for a couple months and then saying they didn't get a good enough response to that request so they were going subscription only. It's hard to believe they weren't already intending to go with the subscription plan when they started begging for donations, since it was a pretty short amount of time between when they first asked for donations and the time when they announced they were going subscription only. Makes the whole "donate to keep Helix free" deal look kind of phony.
